GENERAL:
John M. Houkom, Esq. is a senior associate at QLG. Mr. Houkom has experience representing a broad range of companies and individuals in all aspects of complex commercial litigation, intellectual property litigation, real estate, unfair competition, employment law, and appellate procedure. He has frequently appeared in state and federal courts, arbitrations and mediations, and has extensive experience with all aspects of civil litigation, including motion practice, taking and defending depositions, written discovery, expert discovery, and trial practice.
Mr. Houkom received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California at Berkeley, where he was member of the Berkeley Journal of International Law. Mr. Houkom also received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Berkeley. At Berkeley, Mr. Houkom was a member of the Order of the Golden Bear Honor Society. Mr. Houkom is a member of the State Bar of California and admitted to practice before all California courts and U.S. District Courts for the Central, Eastern, Southern and Northern Districts of California.
